This beginning/intermediate portrait course is a part of Life Drawing Class focusing on the anatomy of head and  capturing the character. Students explore various mediums including pencil, charcoal, color pencil, pastel, ink, and mixed media.

Painting 


This beginning/intermediate course focuses on fundamentals of painting including color mixing, color as value, value and saturation,  and basic painting techniques. Students learn watercolor, acrylic, oil and mixed media. Some drawing experience is required prior to this class.

Basic Design and Independent Project 


This course will introduce students to color theory, color-mixing, principle elements of design to construct visual order and visual communication. These principles will apply to student's independent project such as PARSONS Challenge and RISD homework project.

This beginning/intermediate life drawing course emphasizes the study of human anatomy, gesture, and structural drafting. While drawing from a live model, students learn to analyze human form and to construct a complex perception of human body.  Students explore various mediums including pencil, charcoal, color pencil, pastel, ink, and mixed media.​ 
 

Portfolio Prep Course
Life Drawing : Costume 


This beginning/intermediate costume course is a part of Life Drawing Class focusing on the character of a live model, constructing the costume,  as well as the anatomy of human body. Students explore various mediums including pencil, charcoal, color pencil, pastel, ink, and mixed media.​

Portfolio Prep Course
Drawing : Linear Perspective, Light Logic, Composition


This beginning/intermediate drawing course develops student's perception and skills in the elements of drawing and composition.  Students explore linear perspective, contour line, cross contour, light logic, rendering, measurement and scale, spatial analysis, and composition.
